One of my favorite ways to support mindful relating with small children is to provide professional development to preschool/early childhood educators. This week I had the distinct privilege of working with a school team in Fontana, California (via Zoom) to help them think about how they can instill a STEAM mindset in their preschoolers. After all, the foundations of STEAM are not about developing content (i.e., teaching preschool-level rocket science or quantum physics), but rather about developing ways of thinking and approaching problems more generally.
